Arun Dhumal said.

“Fans should make it to the stadium in large numbers whether we have the WIPL in rural areas or main city centres. We will evaluate that and take a call soon,”

He added.

“We are working on making it one of the best women’s cricket tournament in the world. What we did in the IPL, we want to do something similar with WIPL.”

The first edition of the WIPL is scheduled to begin in March of next year. The initial season will most likely feature five teams. However, the bidding for such teams has not yet been organized.

After years of preparation, Indian women’s cricketers will finally have their own league, similar to the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and The Hundred Women’s tournament.
