Virat Kohli of Team India has recovered form and has lighted up the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022. With 246 runs in only five outings, the flashy hitter is presently the tournament’s leading run-getter.
After a brief hiatus, Kohli made a great comeback against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022. He subsequently repeated the feat against arch-rival Pakistan in the World Cup, leading India to a stunning triumph at the MCG. Meanwhile, one Pakistani batter who has been likened to Team India’s star is Ahmed Shehzad, who recently described such comparisons as “unfair.”
“The comparisons go against you. In the space of two matches, you start making exaggerated comparisons. It isn’t possible, because we are two different individuals, leading two different lives,”
Shehzad said.

Shehzad went on to say that Kohli was fortunate to have MS Dhoni take him under his wing and assist him during his time with the national team.
“His life is different. He had Dhoni, my life’s scenario was different. I’ve said this earlier, you can have two things – either you can have support from everyone, or when everyone is trying to keep you out,”
He added.
While Shehzad has been working hard in the domestic circuit, gaining a call up to the national team may be difficult. His inconsistency has kept him on the bench, as he has not played in a Test or an ODI since 2017. Kohli, on the other hand, has been the key man for the Men in Blue throughout the years and has established himself as one of the team’s most significant components.
In the upcoming semifinal of the major event, India will play England, and Kohli will try to keep up his outstanding play for the team.
