Former Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has urged the country’s governing body to support the players chosen for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia in October-November. Pakistan, who are currently playing a seven-match series against England, have already announced their 15-man squad for the mega event, along with three reserves. However, the deadline set by ICC for the squad announcement is October 9. If the teams have to make changes after the deadline, it has to be sanctioned by ICC.
Pakistan’s ongoing seven-match Twenty20 International series against England is currently tie at 2-2. After four games. On Sunday, the team won the fourth T20I by three runs. The fifth match of the series is scheduled for September 28.
After the series, Pakistan will play a T20I tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh before competing in the T20 World Cup in Australia.
