Amitabh Choudhary, former BCCI secretary, has died. Choudhary’s contribution to Indian cricket will live on for generations.
Amitabh Choudhary, a veteran cricket administrator and former BCCI secretary, died in the early hours of Tuesday (16th of August). Choudhary was instrumental in the development of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) and in making Ranchi the capital of all cricketing activities.
Since the news of Amitabh Choudhary’s death was confirmed by JSCA. Fans have express their respect and admiration for the veteran. Many people have already paid their respects, including his longtime colleague Anirudh Chaudhry, who recalls his contribution to the game.
“Amitabh made a significant contribution to the game of cricket in Jharkhand. ” He will be missed by JSCA. Filling the void he leaves in Jharkhand will be difficult. I offer my condolences to his family, friends, and well-wishers,” the former BCCI treasurer told The Indian Express.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed his condolences to Choudhary’s family on Twitter, writing: “Received the sad news of the sudden demise of former President of JPSC Shri Amitabh Choudhary Ji. ” Former IPS officer Amitabh Ji was also instrumental in promoting cricket in the state. May God grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family during this difficult time.”

Amitabh Choudhary’s contribution to Indian cricket
During his time with the BCCI, the 58-year-old had a difficult job. Choudhary was the team manager on India’s 2005-06 tour to Zimbabwe, when the saga of Sourav Ganguly and Greg Chappell began in Indian cricket.
Later, while working for the BCCI under the CoA, he involve in another coach versus captain saga. He played in the Indian cricket match between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble. Thus, one can never say that Amitabh Choudhary had it easy at the BCCI because he had to deal with two of the Indian board’s biggest administrative challenges in recent years.
The former IPS officer was also instrumental in the construction of a world-class stadium in Ranchi. Following the completion of the stadium, JSCA decided to name one end of the stadium after him in recognition of his contributions to the development of the game in the state.
