“In the next 16 months, we have four international events, including two World Cups. This recognition of offering contracts to white-ball specialists will help us develop two separate squads that can play both white and red-ball cricket at the same time. This will also allow us to showcase a wider range of talent to the world.” The former captain also state that Pakistan working on developing a talent pool that would allow them to field simultaneous red and white ball squads for international events/series, similar to India and England.
He also state that a Pakistan Cricket Foundation has been establish to assist retire cricketers, match officials, scorers, and ground staff who are experiencing severe financial hardship.
