As his team’s hero during their difficult chase of 149 against India in the second T20I on June 12 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, scoring 81 runs from 46 deliveries. Klaasen is optimistic that his memorable knock will help him extend his career.

“It was a difficult (pitch) to bat against.” I found myself struggling in the beginning. Then I decided that if I went out today, I would go my own way and try to be positive. “It just one of those days,” Heinrich Klaasen explained to the media after the game.
