Babar Azam scored 103 runs to help Pakistan beat the West Indies by five wickets in the first One-Day International at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. When asked about the game, Akram praised Babar and the other batters for their efforts in the chase.

Haris Rauf took four wickets during the West Indian innings but was also the most expensive Pakistan bowler. Shaheen Afridi took two wickets, while Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz each took one.
