Following the decision, Matthew Wade smashed the chairs in the locker room.
In fact, Wade seen smashing the chairs in the locker room with his bat in rage, which captured on television cameras. He later sanction for his actions, and the Australian admitted to a level 1 offence for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.
“Mr. Wade accepted the sanction after admitting to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct.” The match referee’s decision is final and binding for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct,” the IPL said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Gujarat posted 168 for 5 in 20 overs, led by Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten 62, but lost the game by 8 wickets as RCB comfortably chased down the target.
