Ravi Shastri Names His Favorite Batting Partner: “Kris Srikkanth Or Sunil Gavaskar?”
Sunil Gavaskar, widely regarded as one of cricket’s greatest players, received some special comments from his former teammate Ravi Shastri. On ESPNCricinfo, Shastri stated that any player willing to give up his “right arm or a leg” to bat with the 1983 World Glass champion would be willing to do so. The former India head coach was initially asked who he preferred to bat with: Kris Srikkanth or Sunil Gavaskar. “Gavaskar, I cruel individuals will give up their right arm or leg for the non-end striker’s when that amazing man is at the other conclusion,” Shastri added after a lengthy pause.
Gavaskar made his make a big appearance for India in a red-ball coordinate against Britain at Queen’s Stop Oval in Walk 1971. In November 1987, he played his last worldwide amusement in an ODI coordinate against Britain at Wankhede Stadium.

He scored 10122 runs for India in 125 Tests and 3092 runs in 108 One-Day Internationals. Gavaskar was the primary Indian batsman to illustrate consistency in universal cricket, with a record of 34 Test hundreds (at the time). He ruled the West Indies pacers at a period when everybody else feared them.
Meanwhile, Shastri made his debut for India in a Test match against New Zealand in February 1981. In December 1992, he last played for India in a Test match against South Africa.

He scored 3830 runs in 80 Test matches and 3108 runs in 150 One-Day Internationals. In addition, the former all-rounder grabbed 151 wickets in 80 Tests and 129 dismissals in 150 One-Day Internationals.
