Dewald Brevis, a young South African cricketer, was in superb form when Mumbai Indians (MI); took on Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune; on Wednesday in Match 23 of the ongoing IPL 2022 season. The youngster smashed 49 runs off 25 balls, including four fours; and five sixes, but it wasn’t enough to help MI win their first match of the season; as Rohit Sharma’s side lost their fifth match in a row.
The 18-year-old, on the other hand, drove cricket fans into a frenzy; when he hammered Rahul Chahar for four back-to-back sixes in MI’s ninth over. Brevis hit four maximums in the ninth over’s final four deliveries.
On the second delivery of the over, a boundary was deliver straight down the ground. Brevis then hammered a six right over Chahar’s head in typical AB de Villiers fashion; it’s little surprise he’s been dub “Baby AB” by so many.

Chahar was taken to the cleaners as the next two were hammer over the cow corner; as he compromised on flight and pace. The final six, which soared 112 meters; was hit wide long-on and proved to be the longest of the IPL 2022 season. Chahar surrendered 29 runs in that over.
Brevis, dubbed “Baby AB de Villiers” by many fans; was purchase by MI for Rs 3 crore in this year’s mega auction.

In the recent U-19 Cricket World Cup, he was a standout for South Africa, scoring two centuries and three fifties. He hit 506 runs in all and was name Player of the Tournament.
