IPL 2022: Shoaib Akhtar Names Player Who Ought to Have Played More Recreations For India
Rajasthan Royals (RR) have found fresh life this season after placing second from bottom in the points table last season. Sanju Samson, the captain, has performed admirably in the two games he has played thus far this season. After a 55-run knock against SunRisers Hyderabad in the first game; Samson added another 30-run cameo against the Mumbai Indians in the second game. Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar felt Samson was unlucky and should have played more matches; for India ahead of their encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday.
“Sanju Samson should have played in more India matches. He is, in my opinion, one of the best players; he hasn’t been able to get a spot in the Indian team, unfortunately. And e is, nonetheless, a tremendous talent “During an interview with Sportskeeda, Shoaib Akhtar stated.
Samson, on the other hand, struggled against the Royal Challengers Bangalore; scoring only eight runs off as many deliveries before getting removed by Wanindu Hasaranga.
