While Rohit Sharma’s leadership talents and tactical ability have been well documented; how Rishabh Pant performs as captain will be closely observe, given the need to discover future leaders for the country. Rohit has already stated that he and Ishan Kishan; who was also purchase for a whopping Rs 15.25 crore, will bat first. The two can clean up any good attack, and Delhi’s seasoned one would be mindful of their abilities.
Suryakumar Yadav will be unavailable for the game due to his recuperation at the NCA; but Fabian Allen, another hard-hitting stroke-maker, could fill in. Only Pollard is a seasoned campaigner in Mumbai’s middle and lower-middle order; and it remains to be whether among Tilak Varma, Tim David, and young South African batter Dewald Brevis; who has a broad range of shots at his disposal and is dubbed; the “next AB de Villiers,” gets a chance.
While Bumrah will lead the pace attack, Jaydev Unadkat, a seasoned left-arm pacer; can be very useful on the Brabourne track. Mayank Markande and Murugan Ashwin are Mumbai’s spin combo; and the onus will be on the two leg-spinners to stop a tough Delhi top-order. Their spin department, on the other hand, appears to be frail. Prithvi Shaw and Pant might start the batting for DC in the meantime; with Australian David Warner still missing from the squad.
