IPL 2022: Andrew Tye has been named as the Lucknow Super Giants’ replacement for Mark Wood
The Lucknow Super Giants managed to manage an overwhelming blow ahead; of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 when British pacer Check Wood was rule out owing to elbow damage. There has been a guess over the past few days about who the club will sign; as a substitution for Wood and also on Wednesday, the establishment marked Andrew Tye. “Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have enlisted Andrew Tye as a replacement for the injured British bowler Check Wood;” according to an official IPL articulation.
Wood injured his elbow in England’s first Test against the West Indies earlier this month.
Tye has played 32 T20Is for Australia, taking 47 wickets. The right-arm bowler will join LSG for Rs 1 crore after appearing; in 27 IPL matches and also picking up 40 wickets.

In 2018, he was award the Purple Cap for his 24 scalps in 14 matches; while playing for Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab).
LSG will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign on March 28 against Gujarat Titans; at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where they will also be making their tournament debut.
