The Goa government’s supreme committee of experts on COVID-19 gave its approval for full usage; of the stadium’s seating capacity at a meeting today, an official said, citing an improvement in the state’s epidemic condition.
The group, which also includes medical specialists, convened in the Goa Medical College and Hospital; to examine a proposal to hold the final match of the country’s top football league at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium; in Fatorda, South Goa, with a 100% capacity.
Dr Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMCH, presided over the meeting.

Given the COVID-19 scenario in the state, the committee has also given its approval; for the final match to be play with 100% capacity? Bandekar informed reporters following the meeting.
He stated that only those spectators who also have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine; or who have a COVID-19 negative test certificate would be allowed inside the stadium for the final match.
