JNU is collateral damage in the Twitter battle between Shashi Tharoor and Ramdas Athawale.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was the collateral damage in a Twitter feud between Shashi Tharoor and Ramdas Athawale.
The controversy began when a Congress MP from Kerala shared a photo of Union Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman; responding to a question about the Union Budget 2022, with Union Minister Ramdas Athawale in the background. The Finance Minister’s “stunned and astonished attitude” demonstrates that even the Treasury bench; couldn’t accept the Finance Minister’s boasts about the economy and her Budget, Tharoor said.
However, Tharoor, who is known as the Internet’s English teacher; made some spelling mistakes that Athawale was not willing to overlook. “Dear Shashi Tharoor ji, they believe one is likely to make blunders while making unwarranted claims; and declarations,” the Union Minister responded, pointing out the errors.

However, while you’re on a roll, there’s someone at JNU who could use your help.”
