AC Milan thrashed Lazio 4-0 on Wednesday to advance to the Italian Cup semifinals. Olivier Giroud scored twice, giving him four goals in two games. After helping Milan defeat league leader Inter Milan 2-1 on Saturday with two late goals; the France veteran scored twice in the first half. In the 41st minute, Giroud converted a cross from Leao; followed by another from countryman Theo Hernandez just before the break. Since joining the Italian giant after four years with Premier League club Chelsea; he has scored 10 goals in 22 outings.

Milan’s midfielder Franck Kessie scored the fourth goal 10 minutes from time; bringing them into the final four against seven-time winner Inter.

On Thursday, defending champion Juventus will face Sassuolo, while last year’s runner-up Atalanta will face Fiorentina.
