Varun Chakravarthy-“Virat Kohli is Burj Khalifa, the tallest building” in T20 World Cup 2021

Varun Chakravarthy, a leg-spinner for Team India, has compared captain Virat Kohli to the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest structure. Kohli, according to Chakravarthy, is the Indian team’s tallest skyscraper.

The 30-year-old made the remark during a conversation that was broadcast on the ICC’s official Twitter account. Chakravarthy was asked to compare his colleagues to UAE sites in an entertaining video clip.

He also made a parallel between the Atlantis hotel and Hardik Pandya’s bling factor.

“It is very blingy. I will compare it to Hardik because he wears a lot of bling stuff. I have been with him for one tour and he likes to dress up nicely.” Chakravarthy said

Chakravarthy represented India in the first two matches of the T20 World Cup 2021. Despite bowling his quota of four overs in both games, he failed to pick up a wicket. The leggie had a 0 for 33 record against Pakistan and a 0 for 23 record against New Zealand.

Chakravarthy seen sweating it out before of India’s encounter against Scotland in Dubai on Friday, after missing the Afghanistan match owing to a niggle. On Thursday, he went through fitness routines in order to get in shape for the Scotland match.

Chakravarthy has a “left calf ailment,” according to a BCCI statement, after Virat Kohli said at the toss ahead of the match against Afghanistan that he suffering from a niggle.

Prior to the Scotland game, Chakravarthy had a fitness session with the physio and conditioning coach and event bowled.

For the match against Afghanistan, the leggie replaced by experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The 35-year-old bowler impressed with figures of 2 for 14 as India won by 66 runs, keeping their modest semi-final chances alive.
