Virat Kohli has ranked ahead of Rohit Sharma as a player by Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir because of the Indian captain’s ability to handle pressure. In the little opportunities he has had against both batsmen, the left-arm seamer has a solid record.
Kohli, according to Amir, performs better under pressure. During an Asia Cup match in 2016, the pacer squared off against the Indian captain in a high-pressure situation. Despite receiving a reprieve early on, Kohli negotiated one of Amir’s greatest periods with the white ball.
“I will always go with Virat because just like me, he also likes pressure situations. Thus, I have always done well in pressure conditions thanks to God and if you take out Virat’s stats, you will see he always performs well in pressure situations. I love this about him because he performs when under pressure,” Amir said

Virat Kohli has been struggling for runs with the bat in the early stages of the England trip and even in the second leg of the IPL. His final task as captain of the Indian T20 team would be the T20 World Cup, allowing him to focus on his responsibilities.
Amir gave some light on today’s bowling scene, bemoaning the fact that bowlers prioritize speed over skillset. Bowlers are fixated on breaking the 150kmph barrier, he observed, and the acclaim they receive once they do does not help matters.
“There are many shots and survival is very difficult for a bowler. The current generation of batsmen has a lot more shots in their bags and as a bowler, you need to get smarter. Bowlers nowadays are struggling mostly because the moment they bowl at 150kph, we tend to take them to the sky by praising them.” He added
“Pace is important and does matter, but you cannot forget your skills in trying to bowl fast. They don’t work on swings and variations. he added
For the T20 World Cup, Pakistan has an excellent fast bowling team led by Shaheen Afridi. With the ball, Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf will be there to help him.
