Virender Sehwag, a former Indian batter, brought out an interesting truth about the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL 2021 season. The cricket world never got to see Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers bat together in the middle for RCB this year, according to Sehwag.
Royal Challengers Bangalore shifted AB de Villiers down the order with the addition of Glenn Maxwell. This Indian Premier League season, the South African batsman batted at number five for the Bangalore-based franchise.
Instead of batting at number three, Virat Kohli remained to open the innings.
As a result, two of the most lethal batters in international cricket will be unable to bat together in the IPL 2021. After yesterday night’s batting performance by RCB vs Kolkata Knight Riders.
“I had a wish to see Virat and AB de Villiers bat together that could not be seen even once this season. Devdutt and Virat got Bangalore off to a good start and scored 49 runs in the first 5 overs” said Virender Sehwag
“Devdutt was dismissed by Lockie. After this, the hero of the last match Bharat came to bat and the pace of Bangalore’s batting slowed down,” he added
RCB scored only 138 runs in 20 overs against KKR in Sharjah Friday night, despite boasting a star-studded batting lineup.
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, and KS Bharat, according to Virender Sehwag, failed to pick Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine’s mysterious spin.
“Dan Christian, who did not score more than one run in a single game of the tournament, scored nine runs. The lower order batters of Bangalore could not do much,” Virender Sehwag concluded
