West Indian geniuses Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Fabian Allen, and Zimbabwe legend Andy Flower have landed within the United Arab Emirates for the 2nd phase of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL).
The trio from the Caribbean will represent the Punjab Kings whereas Flower will serve as deputy to head coach Anil Kumble.
However, Punjab Kings posted pictures of their arrival in the UAE over social media platforms.
Gayle and Allen are coming off a triumphant Caribbean Premier League (CPL) campaign with St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots. The Patriots defeated the St. Lucia Kings in what turned out to be a gripping last-ball finish. Bloom was the head coach of the Kings.
Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings will continue their IPL 2021 campaign against the Rajasthan Royals in Dubai on September 22.
The Kings will trust that the likes of Gayle and Pooran hit the ground running within the second phase of IPL 2021.
