MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), arrived in Chennai ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Tuesday, March 5. Notably, the upcoming season is expected to be the last for the wicketkeeper-batsman. Notably, the 42-year-old battled a knee injury throughout the 2023 season. Greeted with thunderous applause every time he stepped onto the field. He compared his vintage best of 104 runs from 12 innings the previous season to his best-ever strike rate in an IPL season of 182.46, clobbering three fours and ten sixers.

Meanwhile, Dhoni recently caused a stir on social media when he posted an update about the upcoming IPL season. Notably, the wicketkeeper batter avoids media attention and rarely posts on social media. However, on Monday, March 4, he posted on Facebook, “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role.'” Stay tuned!”

As soon as Dhoni’s post piqued fans’ interest, they began deciphering the hidden message. Some fans speculated that the CSK captain would open the innings in the upcoming season. While others believed he would take on a different role in the team. However, the true message is unknown and will not reveal until Dhoni comes out in the open to put an end to the speculation.
