Since making his debut in 2018, Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has risen through the ranks to become one of the world’s most lethal seamers. The 23-year-old is now wreaking havoc in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, taking seven wickets in three matches. Afridi will be essential for Pakistan once again in the forthcoming ODI World Cup 2023, which will begin on October 5 in India.
Notably, this will be the first time the Pakistan pace prodigy has bowled in India. As a result, the Khyber Agency-born cricketer has begun his preparations for the huge event. Afridi has claimed that he has discussed pitches in India with foreign players who have played in the IPL.

Afridi took 16 wickets from five matches in the previous edition of the ODI World Cup in 2019. An average of 14.62 and an economy of 4.96. He’ll be hoping for another spectacular performance in the 2019 edition of the cricketing spectacle.
Afridi went on to say that his recent stint of 4/35 vs India in the Asia Cup 2023 group stage match wasn’t his finest so far.

Afridi has 30 wickets from 14 ODIs since 2022, with an average of 19 and an economy of five. He will aim to challenge the Indian top order once more in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match against India on Sunday, September 10 in Colombo.
