Yashasvi Jaiswal, 21, has had a difficult road ahead of her. The boy has been through a lot, from selling panipuri to not having a roof over his head. However, with his talent, its only a matter of time before he revealed himself to the world.
Jaiswal won his first India call-up for the present multi-format series against the West Indies following his outstanding performance for Rajasthan Royals in the recently ended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Furthermore, the 21-year-old made his debut in the series’ first Test, and he did not disappoint.
Jaiswal had an immediate impact, scoring 171 runs in 387 deliveries while starting the innings alongside skipper Rohit Sharma. It was also reveal that after the match, Jaiswal became pretty upset when he call his father after breaking the spectacular century.
In response, Jaiswal’s father, Bhupendra Jaiswal, revealed that the child called him very early in the morning and could not hold back his tears as the two enjoyed a touching moment.
“He called around 4:30 a.m. (IST) after scoring his century on Day 2.” He couldn’t keep his tears from falling. I, too, sobbed. It was an extremely emotional time. He was unable to speak for an extended period of time. Hes exhausted. “He simply asked, ‘Are you happy, father?'” Jaiswal’s father told the Hindustan Times.
West Indies were defeat by India by an innings and 141 runs
In terms of the first Test outcome, the Indian team controlled the proceedings at Windsor Park in Dominica. After limiting the West Indies to 150 runs in the first innings, India responded by scoring 421 runs before declaring their innings.
In order to leave as little of a trail as possible, the hosts only manage to score 130 runs before being bundle out, handing India the victory by an innings and 141 runs.
