Speaking further about playing in front of his family in the stadium, Gill stated that he enjoys having his family there to support him and does not feel any pressure.

“I enjoy it when my family comes to see the game. In their company, I don’t feel any more or less strain. Playing in front of your family makes your excellent moments much better,” Gill added.

Meanwhile, Gill appeared in fantastic form in the final, scoring 39 runs off 20 balls and hitting seven fours. His innings, however, was cut short by MS Dhoni’s lightning-fast glove performance, which stumped him to give CSK their maiden victory.
