Virat Kohli’s childhood coach evaluates his performance in the Bangladesh Test. In the two-match Test series, Virat Kohli scored 1, 19*, 24, and 1.
KL Rahul’s squad India won the series 2-0 against hosts Bangladesh after winning the second Test by three wickets in Mirpur. Virat Kohli, India’s flamboyant batsman, had a poor performance with the willow, forcing his boyhood coach to deliver an honest judgment.
Kohli scored one run and an undefeated 19 in the first Test in Chattogram, then 24 runs off 22 balls in Mirpur. The batsman seems to have struggled against the spinners and his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma suggested that the hitter should have exhibited more “intent”.
“A hitter is pretty frustrated once he goes out, and Virat Kohli is really aggressive by nature. However, the manner in which he has been escaping is unacceptable. It’s disappointing to watch a hitter of his caliber struggle against Bangladeshi spinners. “He should have been more focused,” Rajkumar said to India News Sports.
“With both the mid-on and mid-off fielders inside the circle, he could have played a little looser. He won’t let you play unless you unsettle a spinner. “You must be creative, such as playing a slog sweep or sweeping an outside off ball,” he continued.
