The SRH have a lot of money, but they must spend it wisely: Aakash Chopra. SRH will be the top bidder in the IPL 2023 auction, with a purse of 42.25 crores.
Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra says that the Sunrisers Hyderabad would have to ensure they spend their pocketbook carefully in the forthcoming IPL 2023 mini-Auction in Kochi on December 23. The organization opted to fire Kane Williamson, who had a poor season last year, and has yet to pick a new captain.
The 2016 IPL champions will enter the auction with the most money ($42.25 million). Notably, SRH still has 13 places to fill, four of which are expected to go to international names. They will have the option of signing world-class all-rounders such as Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, or Cameron Green, who can play in all three categories and provide significant value to the team.

Spinners have been an issue since SRH let Rashid Khan go: Aakash Chopra
Given their budget, SRH may be able to select both Stokes and Green, according to Chopra. He also stated that SRH will have to make sound financial judgments throughout the auction. He stated that after the release of Rashid Khan, SRH has lacked a great spin option and that they could go for the mystery spinner Sikandar Raza, who was brilliant in the last T20 World Cup 2022.
“The priority for Hyderabad should definitely be to sign both Ben Stokes and Cameron Green. If not Green, they may go after Curran. They have a lot of money, but they must spend it carefully or else there will be no point,” Aakash Chopra explained on his YouTube channel.
“Spinners have been an issue since they let Rashid Khan leave. They can choose Sikandar Raza or Indian candidates such as Amit Mishra and Piyush Chawla,” he continued.
