Twitter erupts as Arjun Tendulkar scores a magnificent century on his Ranji debut for Goa. Coming down the order, Arjun Tendulkar hit a good century to put Goa in command.

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar. Has been name to Goa’s Ranji Trophy squad for the 2018 season. The left-arm seamer made his first-class debut against Rajasthan on Tuesday. And it has been a dream game for the 23-year-old so far.

Arjun batted at number seven at the end of Day one and has 112 runs at the Goa Cricket Association Academy. With Suyash Prabhudessai batting wonderfully at the other end, Arjun had the luxury of seeing out the difficult spell and getting comfy at the crease. In the first session of day two, Arjun hit a lot of boundaries and showed off his batting skills.

He was razor-sharp in his approach, scooping up loose balls and defending well-placed passes. In his Ranji Trophy debut, the youthful player reached his first half-century, while Prabhudessai moved past his century from the other end. Arjun was playing all over the field to get near to the 100-run milestone, and the collaboration was thriving.

He scored his century in 178 balls, with 12 fours and two sixes, and has made his mark on the home scene. Goa has passed the 400-run mark, and Prabhudessai is on his way to a double century as the Rajasthan pacers tire.

Arjun Tendulkar’s remarkable run in limited-overs cricket

Notably, Arjun has previously represented Mumbai and the youth teams, taking eight wickets in seven List A games. In 2021, he made his T20 debut, taking 12 wickets in nine games for Mumbai and Goa combined at a strong economy rate of 6.60. He relocated to Goa prior to the 2022 season in quest of better prospects in domestic cricket, and the move has so far paid off.

Despite not having made his debut, he was signed by the Mumbai Indians in the 2019 IPL auction and has since been a regular member of the franchise team.
