The MCA is expect to raise the price of T20I tickets for India vs. Sri Lanka Match. The Asian giants will play three T20Is followed by the same number of ODIs.
Team India will face Asia Cup 2022 champions Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series and as many ODIs beginning on January 3, 2023. With the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) hosting the event, it is expect that T20I tickets costs would rise, according to sources.
The Lankan Lions will begin the New Year with a multi-format white-ball tour to India. According to TOI, the MCA has decided to hike ticket prices since the costs for arranging a T20I contest has doubled since the previous T20I match conducted at the site.
“Because the expenditure for arranging a T20I has grown since then, we felt the need to slightly increase the public ticket pricing. The MCA’s clubs and donors’ (subsidized) ticket costs (7,000) would stay unchanged “according to one of the sources
The Wankhede Stadium last hosted a T20I match on December 6, 2019, when India faced off against the West Indies. Since 2019, ticket prices have risen by 10 to 15% in anticipation of the Sri Lanka series. The decision to raise the ticket price taken during the Apex Council meeting of the MCA on Friday, December 9.
