Nikhil Chandrashekhar Anbule, a resident of Pune, was previously in the construction sector but became involved in cricket betting, and police discovered that he owed money to the bookies.

According to the investigation, the perpetrators had been harassing Anbule. Demanding money before snatching him on November 15. Vishal Amrale, 35, and Lahu Mane, 40, have been apprehended by police officers. Authorities suspect Anbule, a native of Ambegaon Budruk in Pune. Unemployed and did not work in the construction industry.

On Monday, November 21, his wife Harshada, who works in Pune for a significant international IT firm, submitted a First Information Report at the Bharti Vidyapeeth police station. According to the FIR, Nikhil called Harshada early on November 16 to let her know that he had been kidnapped and was being held captive. He told her that they would not release him until he paid off their debt in full.

“Nikhil’s friend told Harshada that her husband was abducted by some persons in a car at Ambegaon area on the night of November 15. Sometime later the family members transferred Rs 28,000 to Nikhil’s account through an online banking application. After a while Nikhil returned home and suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead,

Accused is being held by police while the inquiry is ongoing.

According to the case investigation, Nikhil used Amrale and Mane, two bookmakers, to gamble on cricket matches. The police said that in addition to threatening Nikhil, they also demanded the Rs 28,000 that he owed them. According to the police, the bookies allegedly assaulted him once before November 15.
