Pakistan Pacer’s Wild Celebration Following Back-to-Back Sixes Against Afghanistan. Naseem Shah hit two back-to-back sixes in the final over to seal Pakistan’s victory over Afghanistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, before wheeling away in celebration.

On Wednesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Babar Azam’s Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in a nail-biting thriller in the Super 4 stage of the ongoing Asia Cup. Pakistan were completely down and out, needing 11 runs off the final over with only one wicket in hand, and no one could have predicted that No.10 Naseem Shah would win the game for his team. However, the right-handed batter hit back-to-back sixes off the first two balls of the final over bowled by Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Pakistan won the match with four balls to spare, advancing to the final alongside Sri Lanka.

Naseem Shah went absolutely wild in his celebration after hitting the match-winning six, running off towards the legside, first throwing his bat, then his helmet, and finally his gloves on the ground. The rest of the teammates joined Naseem in the middle to celebrate in style. Pakistan was in ecstasy, while Afghanistan was in agony.

After Babar Azam won the toss, Afghanistan batted first and posted 129/6 in 20 overs. Pakistan, chasing 130, was cruising at one point, with the score 87/3 in the 16th over. However, Pakistan collapsed from there, falling to 118/9 in the final over. They needed 11 in the final over to win, and it was Naseem Shah who came through for Pakistan.

The buildup to Naseem’s ecstatic celebrations was also filled with drama.

After Pakistan’s batter was dismissed, Asif Ali and Afghanistan’s Fareed Ahmad Malik got into a spat in the game’s final over. Ali nearly hit the Afghanistan pacer with his bat, and tempers flared.
