In the match, Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant 28-ball 62* and also an unbeaten 44-ball 59 propelled India to a total of 192/2 after Hong Kong put them in to bat.

However, After a slow start, India appeared to be heading for a low total. But Suryakumar stepped up at the end to help India finish with a bang. He also hit six fours and six sixes, including four in the final over.

Hong Kong batted with intent in the Powerplay, but faded away when India’s spinners came on.

Kinchit Shah made 30 off 28 balls, while Babar Hayat scored 41 off 35 balls. Hong Kong eventually finished with a score of 152/5.

Hong Kong still has a slim chance of reaching the Asia Cup Super-4 stage, but they must defeat Pakistan in their final Group A match.
