Despite the rain, Team India holds an indoor net session in Trinidad. West Indies vs. India: Team India began preparations for the first One-Day International (ODI) against the West Indies with an indoor net session.

The visitors wanted to hit the nets a day before India’s first ODI against the West Indies. The rain Gods, on the other hand, had other ideas. Instead of sitting around or letting the day pass, the players engaged in an indoor net session. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of India’s training session on Twitter. “Getting ready for the first ODI against the West Indies,” the BCCI captioned the video. Shubman Gill, the batter, appears in the video and explains why they decided to train indoors due to the rain.

India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against the West Indies, beginning on Friday at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

India has rested regular captain Rohit Sharma and several first-team players, including Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya, for the series, while KL Rahul is recovering from injury.

Rahul is expected to return for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies following the ODIs.

Meanwhile, Jason Holder has returned to the West Indies squad following their dismal performance against Bangladesh.

All three matches are scheduled to take place at the same location.
