Washington Sundar has been signed by Lancashire. Sundar will join the club after completing his rehabilitation.
Lancashire has signed Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar for the current English County cricket season. Sundar out of action for a while due to a webbing injury in his hand. But he is set to return to the field after rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Lancashire have stated that the Indian all-rounder will be available for the duration of the One-Day Cup. Lancashire are currently third in Division One of the County Championship.
“Washington, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the BCCI following a recent injury. Will be available for the entire Royal London One-Day Cup competition. As well as a number of LV=County Championship games in July,” Lancashire said, according to Cricbuzz.

Sundar is also thrill to be playing county cricket for the first time. He can’t wait to play at Emirates Old Trafford.

I can’t wait to play at Emirates Old Trafford,” Sundar quoted by the club as saying. ” I’d like to thank Lancashire Cricket and the BCCI for giving me this opportunity. I’m looking forward to joining the squad next month.”
Sundar has represented India in four Tests, four One-Day Internationals, and 31 Twenty20 Internationals since his debut in December 2017. He last appeared for India in an ODI against the West Indies in February in Ahmedabad. Moreover, Sundar primarily an off-spinner who can bat down the order. 36 wickets across all three formats and 369 runs with the bat.
Sundar score some important Test runs, including an unbeaten 96 against England in Ahmedabad and 62 against Australia in the famous Gabba Test in 2021. He is expect to deliver an all-around performance in England and help his club climb the table.
