Pakistan Spinner’s “Magic” Delivery Will Dismiss West Indies Star Nicholas Pooran In 2nd ODI. Mohammad Nawaz spun a web around West Indian batters as Pakistan cruised to a 120-run victory in the second One-Day International in Multan.
Pakistan defeated the West Indies by 120 runs in the second One-Day International (ODI) to clinch the three-match series with one game remaining. Pakistan’s batting stars Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq once again shone with the bat, scoring half-centuries to help Pakistan reach 275 for eight in 50 overs. But it was all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz who made the biggest difference in the match. With his left-arm spin wrecking havoc on the West Indian batters. Nawaz bowled four for 19 as the Windies were bowled out for 155 in 32.2 overs, a career high.
Nawaz bowled a sensational spell, and his miserly performance (economy rate of 1.90) caused all sorts of problems for the West Indians.
Among his four wickets, Nawaz bowled a jaffa to Nicholas Pooran, who was completely unaware of the delivery.

Watch Mohammad Nawaz’s “Magic” Delivery to dismiss Nicholas Pooran in Pakistan’s 2nd ODI against the West Indies:
Nawaz’s previous best figures of 4-42 came six years ago against the same opponents in Sharjah.
Meanwhile, the victory gave Pakistan an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. As well as their tenth consecutive ODI series victory over the West Indies. Pakistan last lost an ODI series to the West Indies in 1991.
The two victories give Pakistan 20 valuable points in the One-Day International Super League, which serves as a qualification round for the 2023 World Cup in India.
“I think we were 10-15 runs short because we lost back-to-back wickets,” said the captain.
“But there was spin, so we were confident at the break that we could defend this, and Nawaz took wickets at critical junctures to bring us back into the game.”
Pooran complimented Nawaz.
“It was a difficult day for us,” Pooran said. “We bowled well in the first 45 overs, but we gave up 20 too many. Nawaz, who bowled exceptionally well, deserves special mention.”
