“We Know Virat Is The Chase Master,” says Mike Hesson following RCB vs GT Virat Kohli scored 73 runs against the Gujarat Titans to help RCB win by eight wickets.
A prolonged bad run can really knock someone’s confidence. It’s only natural for Virat Kohli to be desperate for some luck. Which hasn’t been coming his way recently, according to Royal Challengers Bangalore Director of Cricket Mike Hesson. Kohli finally looked like his old self, scoring 73 in a successful run-chase that kept RCB in contention for a play-off berth.
Kohli had some luck after finding 13 different ways to be fired. According to Hesson, and it’s because he never stoppworking hard.
“The fact that he (Virat) was working so hard in the nets and trying to find rhythm away from playing games. Away from the contest, allowed him to keep that confidence up,” Hesson said after the match.
But, after being dismiss cheaply in 12 of 13 games, Hesson believes it is natural to feel some pressure.
“But, without a doubt, when you go through a period like that – he is only human. You know – you start to have doubts and wonder when your luck will turn. So, a little bit of luck tonight, but he’s certainly earn it this IPL “Hesson stated.

RCB is on the verge of losing a top-four spot if the DC beat the MI on Saturday, Mike Hesson pleased with Kohli’s performance.

“Obviously, chasing scores here hasn’t been our strong suit so far in this IPL.” We’ve been able to defend scores but not chase,” Hesson explain why the RCB’s journey is difficult.
“We all know Virat is the master of the chase, and he set the tone once again today. It was a crucial game for us, and all of the big names show up. We know when Virat is in that mindset, good luck (opposing team), because he can take the game away from anyone “He continued.
Kohli in a slump before the game against Gujarat, but Hesson said theres no pattern to his dismissals. “It started in Pune, and he was run-out a couple of times after that. Obviously, the one who went off the rails – he (Virat) pretty much found every way out. So he’s right there; there was no pattern to those dismissals “Hesson elaborated
