With MI trailing by 67 runs at one point, David smashed a counter-attacking 45 off 18 balls. In the 18th over, he smashed T Natarajan for 26, reducing the equation to a manageable 19 off 13. However, David ran himself out while attempting to keep the strike as SRH held on for a crucial victory.
David’s dismissal was a huge blow for MI, and Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara, who was watching the game from the stands, stunned to see the batter leave in such an untimely manner.
