Former Indian cricketers RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha have slammed Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant for his poor batting performance in a group stage match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on May 16. According to former Indian cricketers, the left-handed batter lost his wicket to England’s all-rounder Liam Livingstone after playing an unnecessary shot.
The DC skipper came to the crease following the dismissal of young batter Lalit Yadav in the final ball of the 11th over. On the first ball he faced, the wicketkeeper-batter took a single. Pant smashed Livingstone for a maximum after regaining the strike. For some reason, Livingstone came to a halt in his run-up as he was about to deliver the next ball. This appeared to have affected the DC captain, as he charged out of his crease once more, but Livingstone used deft tactics to throw the ball wide and stump Pant.
