“Was Someone I Could Call At 2:30 In Morning” Harbhajan Singh Pays Tribute to Andrew Symonds
Before the game, Harbhajan said on Star Sports: “We obviously have a lot of history. Thank you to the IPL and the Mumbai Indians for putting both of us in the same dressing room. He was a wonderful human being once I got to know him. We became very good friends, we used to laugh and tell stories, and he was someone I could call at 2:30 a.m. and say, ‘hey mate, what are you up to?’ Let’s meet,’ and he’d be delighted. I was shocked to see Andrew was no longer alive when I woke up in the morning and saw my phone.”
“I still can’t believe such a strong man exists. Whatever happened was heartbreaking. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone else. It is a loss for all of us that he has left us, and wherever you are. Mate rest in peace and know that you are missed “He continued.
