The 27-year-old stated that the franchise’s CEO, Venky Mysore, is involved in team selection. This massive revelation sparked outrage among fans and experts alike. Shreyas clarified the CEO’s role after observing the impact of his statement.
“I also want to clarify from the last interview, when I took the CEO’s name, I meant he’s there to console the players who are sitting out, it’s never easy for them,” Shreyas said following KKR’s 54-run victory over SRH. Meanwhile, the KKR captain previously stated that Mysore plays a role in team selection.
