Rohit Sharma appreciated Dhoni’s calm nature during the IPL 2022 season.
In the 2017 IPL, a disappointed Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma lamented his team’s top-order; difficulties, but could only praise veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his match-winning innings on Thursday. MI suffered their eighth defeat in the IPL, with Dhoni guiding Chennai Super Kings; to a three-wicket victory in a last-ball finish with a 13-ball 28 not out.
“We put up a fantastic fight. We were there in the thick of things. Our bowlers kept us in the game throughout, despite our poor batting performance. Finally, we all know how relaxing MS Dhoni can be, and he drove; things home “At the post-match presentation, Rohit stated.
“It’s troublesome to put a finger on it” (beat arrangement issues). It’s continuously aiming to be difficult in the event; that you lose three or more wickets within the first few overs. “You’re continuously playing catch-up (amusement).” Tilak Varma’s 51 not out made a difference MI; to a respectable total of 155 for 7, but it was not sufficient as CSK chased down the target; of 156 in the penultimate ball after an inauspicious start. “We need to find a sensible target where we thought we had put; them under weight with the ball.” We had them under our weight, I thought, until the final over.
“But, in the end, MS and Pretorius remained calm and brought them home” After being summoned to bat; Rohit stated that the pitch was good and that his team could have scored more runs.
Ravindra Jadeja, the skipper of CSK, was full of admiration for Dhoni.

“The way the game was going, we were actually very tense, but we knew at some point; that the great finisher of the game was there, and if he played to the final ball; he could surely clinch the match.”
“He (Dhoni) demonstrated to the world that he is still alive and capable; of winning the game.” “We have lots of experience in our team, so they know when to perform; and what to do,” he remarked of Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo. So, even if we aren’t winning the game, we appear to be calm and relaxed.
