Dale Steyn is jumping out of his seat after seeing SRH Pacer’s yorker to Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2022.
Umran Malik, a young SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler, has put up an entertaining show of rapid; bowling since making his Indian Head Association (IPL) debut last year. As the squad started off to a poor start in IPL 2022; he was one of the few bright spots for SRH. He put on a tremendous show of speed in their win over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR); on Friday, but he also used terrific line and lengths to hold the restriction at 175/8. He got two wickets and gave up a respectable 27 runs in four overs; and he’ll be particularly pleased with how he dismissed KKR captain Shreyas Iyer.
As Malik hammered Iyer with some terrific short-pitched deliveries, Iyer was fighting to keep up with his pace. However, it was a Yorker that did the job; as Iyer was unable to block it out and had to depart for 28 off 25.
Dale Steyn, one of the best pace bowlers in the world; sprang out of his place in the SRH dugout and hugged Muttiah Muralitharan in delight after receiving the delivery.
SRH fast bowling coach Steyn lauded Umran Malik and offered advise to the kid in a recent Twitter Q&A.
“Never let up on the pace. 130/135 can be bowled by anyone. But, yeah, a little variation in his skills will get him a long way “Steyn had sent out a tweet.
