Rahul Chahar on Dismissing India Legend: “It Was A Different Feeling”
Rahul Chahar has put in energetic performances for his franchise Punjab Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, and he has seized the burden of bowling the tough overs. He shown his tenacity by scoring 24 runs with the bat against Gujarat Titans, helping his team reach more than 180 runs. Punjab may have lost the game, but Rahul demonstrated that he is a natural fighter.
His best performance, though, came against Chennai Super Kings, when he bowled a tight stint and even dismissed MS Dhoni. In an interview with NDTV, Chahar discussed bowling to MS Dhoni and what he hopes to learn from Punjab Kings captain Anil Kumble.
“He is a major player. It was a different experience dismissing MS Dhoni for the first time in 2020. He’s a legend, so rejecting him this year felt fantastic. When he is at the crease, you are always tense as a bowler. After dismissing him, I felt great “NDTV quoted Chahar as saying.
Chahar stated when asked what he hopes to learn from Anil Kumble: “I hope to get a lot of knowledge from him. He has a huge number of wickets for India. He has a great deal to teach us. I keep pestering him for tips on how to bowl googly. I’m not sure how long it will take me to understand everything, but every time I’m with him, I strive to learn something new.”

Chahar has taken seven wickets in four matches this season, with an economy rate of 6.31.
Chahar stated, “I want to win matches on my own for the franchise,” when asked how he plans to do so “So far, everything has gone smoothly. In any case, I’m just trying to help the team win. We’ve won two games, and I’m hoping to lead my team to victory on my own.”
With four points from four games, Punjab Kings are presently in seventh place in the IPL 2022 points standings. Mayank Agarwal’s greatest characteristic, according to Chahar, is his hard effort.
