Pat Cummins of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) charmed his way to a memorable 14-ball half-century; on Wednesday, announcing his entrance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in style. Cummins, who is most known for his lethal pace bowling; won the hearts of millions of people with his bat at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune; where he helped his team beat the Mumbai Indians.

Cummins’ distinctive knock was recognized and praised by the whole sporting community, and it elicited some notable comments.

KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan, for example, couldn’t contain his giddy excitement and wrote; a heartfelt message for his team on Twitter.

Not only did he congratulate the squad on their victory, but he also made a special mention; of Andre Russell’s amazing dance, which he performed while celebrating with Cummins at the end of the game.

KKR won for the third time in four games this season thanks to the five-wicket victory.

Apart from Cummins’ batsmanship, Venkatesh Iyer was another batsman who fought his way to an undefeated 50-run total.

With the ball, paceman Umesh Yadav kept up his excellent form, combining with Cummins; to take three wickets and restrict MI to 161/4.

On April 10, KKR will face Delhi Capitals (DC), while MI will play Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) a day earlier.
