After the BBL’s viral address, Melbourne Stars’ Babar Azam sent a message to Haris Rauf.
In the three-match ODI series, Pakistan put in some outstanding performances to defeat the visiting Australian team. Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, led from the front, scoring two century and a fifty in the series, collecting 276 runs at an average of 138 and a strike rate of 102.22. After the BBL’s viral address, Melbourne Stars’ Babar Azam sent a message to Haris Rauf.
Teams in the Big Bash League appear to have taken notice of his strong performances against Australia, and Babar Azam will undoubtedly be in high demand for the BBL’s upcoming season. Following Pakistan’s series victory against Australia, the BBL’s official account posed a question to the Twittersphere.
“Would you like to see a Pakistani in the Big Bash?” BBL retweeted it, along with a photo of Babar Azam and Aaron Finch.
The tweet went viral almost immediately, with followers flocking to offer their opinions.
The BBL’s Melbourne Stars also took advantage of the opportunity to express their preference, tweeting a plea to Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf, who is already a member of the Stars’ squad.

“Hey @HarisRauf14, could you please tell @babarazam258 that he’d look great in green?”
In the meantime, Aaron Finch had this to say about Pakistani players in the BBL.
“Any chance they can fit into our league is excellent, and they’d be welcomed in the Big Bash League at any time.”
Aside from Babar Azam, another Pakistani batsman showed brightly. Imam-ul-Haq, in fact, outscored his skipper to take the lead in the run-scoring charts. In three games, the left-hander scored 298 runs with an average of 149 and a strike rate of 101.71.
Shaheen Shah Afridi stole the show among the bowlers, grabbing six wickets in the two matches he played in the series. In the three matches he played, Australian spinner Adam Zampa took as many wickets as Shahid Afridi.

Mohammad Wasim Jr and Haris Rauf each captured five wickets.
The Australian tour of Pakistan comes to a close today with a one-off T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
