Sri Lanka has confirmed that Australia would pay a complete tour to the country in June-July 2022; with the teams competing in three Twenty20 Internationals, five One-Day Internationals, and also two Tests. The tour will be Australia’s first visit to the United States in five years. All of the games will also be held in Colombo, Kandy, and Galle; with Galle hosting both Test matches back to back.
The tour begins on June 7 with two T20Is at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, followed by the third T20I and the first two ODIs in Kandy. The teams will play the remaining ODIs in Colombo before heading; to Galle for the Test series, which begins on June 29.

Australia was blanked 3-0 in Tests the last time they visited Sri Lanka.
“Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, remarked, “We are in for some exciting cricket; especially given an Australian trip to Sri Lanka is taking place after 5 years since they last toured Sri Lanka.”

“The T20 Series will aid our preparations for the T20I World Cup, while the Test and ODI portions will also be extremely beneficial to us as we work our way up the ICC World Test Championship rankings and prepare for the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2023,” De Silva continued.
