Day 3 of the 2nd Test: WI vs. ENG: Braithwaite and Blackwood baffle Britain
Captain Kraigg Brathwaite and Jermaine Blackwood each scored centuries as the West Indies responded brilliantly to England’s declaration, and the series appeared to be heading for another Test draw on Friday. Only 13 wickets have fallen on the flat track at Kensington Oval after three days of the second test.
In a 183-run stand that began before noon and finished only five overs from stumps, Brathwaite and Blackwood displayed great patience to frustrate England.

The West Indies were 101-3 when Nkrumah Bonner, the centurion in the first test in Antigua; was trapped on 9 by Ben Stokes, wasting a review.
With two unused bowlers and the affirmed misfortune of initiator Stamp Wood; Blackwood was on his way to being England’s fourth wicket. He was heading home after harming his right elbow in the first test. Before Blackwood score, Stirs caught him but concur with the umpire that it was not an out.
