Patna Pirates will face Dabang Delhi In the PKL 8 final
P Pirates, the three-time champions, upset UP Yoddha 38-27 on Wednesday; while Dabang Delhi KC overcame Bengaluru Bulls 40-35 to set up a title match in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 here.
In the first semifinal, Patna’s standout defender Mohammadreza Shadloui and Sunil received High 5s; although UP Yoddha’s raiders Sachin (7 points) and Guman Singh (8 points) made it a rough night for them.
Pardeep Narwal of UP Yoddha had a quiet game, scoring only four points in the entire match.
In fact, UP Yoddha’s top offensive player was replacement Shrikant Jadhav; who scored 10 points (including 2 for a Super Tackle).
Dabang Delhi qualified for their second consecutive PKL final by defeating Bengaluru Bulls later in the day.
Delhi’s veteran players made it a night to remember by completing a comeback win; with Naveen Kumar picking up a Super 10 (14 points).
Pawan Sehrawat (18 points) got the Bulls off to a quick start; but Delhi got vital ALL OUTs at crucial moments to turn the game around.
The event’s final will take place on Friday.
Patna had already taken the initiative, with star defender Shadloui in blistering form.
At the opposite end, the raiding combination of Sachin and Guman Singh attacked; and even Ashu Singh’s Super Tackle couldn’t stop an ALL OUT in the 10th minute.
Patna continued to control the game, with Prashanth Kumar Rai contributing vital touch points as well.
Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill were rendered dumbfounded by Patna’s high-intensity defense. Even though Ashu Singh made another Super Handle on Sachin; it wasn’t enough to prevent Patna from scoring their moment ALL OUT in the 17th minute to take a 14-point lead.

Surprisingly, each of Patna’s seven players had scored at least one point; but Pardeep Narwal had to make his own engrave. Narwal scored two bushels of points in the final minutes of the first half; but Patna led 23-9 at the break. Patna maintained control of the tangle in the first minutes of the second half.
Guman and Sachin kept the Yoddha shields speculating as Narwal and Surender combat to discover gaps within the Patna defense. With 11 minutes remaining, the three-time victors cleared all of the Yoddha; folks on the tangle with another ALL OUT to require a 17-point lead. Patna appeared no signs of taking their foot off the gas pedal as Shadloui picked his Tall 5.
Ram Mehar Singh wanted his team to play at a slower tempo; but Yoddha’s substitute raider Shrikant Jadhav kept them on their toes. In UP’s frantic attempt to make a comeback, he became the lead raider. With five minutes left, they had cut Patna’s lead to 12 points.
UP With just three minutes remaining, Yoddha inflicted an ALL OUT to cut Patna’s lead to seven points.

Patna, on the other hand, showed their toughness with a spectacular tackle on Narwal by substitute Monu. Sachin then went on to make a crucial raid point. With a minute remaining, they increased their lead to 11 points; and made sure there were no mistakes in the last seconds to go to the final.
