President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said on Wednesday that the IOC will keep in touch; with Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai and that he also hopes to visit her in Lausanne this summer. IOC President Bach has made touch with Peng Shuai.
When Peng’s allegations of sexual assault against former vice premier Zhang Gaoli; a member of the all-powerful Politburo Standing Committee, first surfaced three months ago, they were quickly removed off China’s internet.
Bach is one of the few individuals outside China who has talked with Peng; whom he met for supper over the weekend. When Bach, to begin with, saw her, he noted that she showed up; to be getting a charge out of the diversions” that she enjoyed; being in the company of competitors and the common people.
