Cheteshwar Pujara has been picked in the Saurashtra Ranji Trophy squad.
Chesterwar Pujara (born January 25, 1988) is an Indian international cricketer; who represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket and also plays Test cricket for India. He is a right-handed batsman who debuted for Saurashtra; in first-class cricket in December 2005 and in Test cricket in Bangalore in October 2010. According to the ICC Player Rankings, he is the world’s No.14 Test batter; with a total of 697 points, as of May 9th, 2021. He also represented India in five One-Day Internationals; and was a member of the victorious Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL 2021.
Cheteshwar Pujara, a veteran Indian batsman in search of huge runs, also named to Saurashtra’s Ranji Trophy squad on Tuesday. The Saurashtra Cricket Association announced Pujara’s inclusion in the 21-member squad. Saurashtra plays their league matches at Ahmedabad, where they are also position in Elite Group D.
Saurashtra is group with domestic powers Mumbai, Odisha, and Goa, all of which have won the Ranji Trophy 41 times. Jaydev Unadkat, an experience campaigner and prolific left-arm speedster, has named captain, as expected.
The team is currently training at the SCA Stadium in Mumbai; and is also schedule to arrive in Ahmedabad on Thursday evening. Chetan Sakariya, a pace bowler who created a name for himself in the IPL; has also included in the squad.

Sheldon Jackson, along with regulars Arpit Vasavada, Kamlesh Makwana; Chirag Jani, Prerak Mankad, youthful stumper Harvik Desai; and vital spinner Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, have all called up to the team.
