Australia stay unbeaten to complete Ashes rout
In the Women’s Ashes, England’s tempestuous run came to an end with a whimper as they lost by eight wickets in the last ODI after scoring only 163. Tammy Beaumont hit 50, Natalie Sciver hit 46, but the batters couldn’t match Annabel Sutherland’s brilliance (4 for 31). The chase was completed in 36.2 overs, completing Australia’s unbroken Ashes win.
England got off to a sluggish start after electing to bat; losing Emma Lamb for a duck in the second over. The visitors had only 18 runs on the board when Heather Knight was removed in the ninth over. That’s when Sciver and Beaumont teamed up to help the ship stay afloat. They hit 88 balls but took 152 pitches to score; with both batters scoring at a strike rate of less than 50 percent.
The strain mounted as Australia controlled the flow of runs; and the innings finally broke when Beaumont fell in the 35th over. England fell from 107 for 2 to 139 for 8 until Charlotte Dean scored; an unbeaten 18 to see the innings through to the end. Megan Schutt took two wickets for 25 runs, while Alana King and Jess Jonassen both took one wicket.

A score of below standard was never intended to be sufficient to defeat Australia. Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes began the chase with a 74-run association in 16 overs. Some time recently, Freya Davies expelled the previous. Haynes was expelled six months afterward, but Britain fizzled to construct any weight; in spite of the small window of opportunity.
Meg Lanning hit a half-century and, with Ellyse Perry, controlled the group to triumph with a 90-run organization. Indeed, on the off chance that England’s batting execution has been addressed; they can take comfort from their bowling exhibitions as they get ready to defend their World Container title in Modern Zealand. With measurements of 10-2-18-1 within the last ODI, Sophie Ecclestone made an impression.

With victories in the first T20I and all three ODIs, Australia finished the Ashes 12-4 ahead of England. Two Twenty20 Internationals were rained off, and the one-off Test was drawn.
